Every homeowner pays a $20 refundable deposit to post their job. It refunds when they award it. No deposit = no post. This filters out browsers and time-wasters before you ever see the job.

Do I need to be licenced to join?
Yes. Every tradie on BackOnTools is verified before going live — ABN, trade licence, and public liability insurance. This is what lets us show customers a verified badge and what makes customers trust us enough to put $20 down.
What happens after I win a job?
The customer's $20 deposit refunds, and you get their contact details directly — name, number, address. From there it's a normal job. If you're on the Elite plan or have the AI receptionist add-on, BackOnTools can also handle their follow-up calls.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. No lock-in contracts. Cancel from your settings page at any time.
I'm in a suburb not listed — can I still join?
We're expanding suburb coverage regularly. Sign up and set your suburb — if it's not covered yet we'll notify you when it goes live. We're adding Adelaide and Gold Coast soon.
